Welcome to BiteSizedWorld! I'm Radina. Travel and good food have always been a part of my life. Growing up in Bulgaria and Los Angeles, my taste buds developed under the influence of a rainbow of cuisines, from traditional Bulgarian, to Persian, French, Korean, Japanese - the list goes on - and the more I ate, the more curious I became about the cultures behind the food. The travel bug really bit me in high school, and I took every opportunity to hop on a plane - or a car, train, or whatever else would get me somewhere new - and explore. From the local road trips I took with my family throughout California, Nevada and Arizona, to vacations in Bulgaria, France or Italy, I soaked in each trip to the max, observing the local culture, sampling the food, and learning as much as I could about the history of each new place.

The philosophy behind this blog is simple: Life is a celebration of the senses. BiteSizedWorld is a cry against the daily grind, and my hope is that it will inspire you to take a trip, to try a new restaurant or recipe, or to simply enjoy a bit of “armchair travel” and step into a different world for just a little while.

But the world of food and travel is about more than indulging our senses - it's just as important to be aware of the impact we make along the way. And so, this blog is also about being mindful of the environment  and respectful of the local cultures wherever we go.
